The BASE 5.0 Battery Management System (BMS) has multiple in-built protection features, to safeguard both the Power Station from overheating, overload, and short-circuit. These limit excessive power draw, overcharge and deep discharge to preserve the longevity of the battery. With short circuit protection and temperature control, you can confidently use this Power Station, knowing that your safety is taken care of.
 
The BASE 5.0 is equipped with a 5kW pure sine wave inverter, capable of powering appliances and devices in situations where there is no access to mains power. It has an Uninterruptible Power Supply function, allowing your appliances to use grid power via the unit and switch over to battery power in 8-20 milliseconds in case of a power cut.

These variety of ports allows you to charge and power smartphones, tablets, cameras, laptops, car accessories, outdoor electronics, and other devices with DC power inputs.
 
Charging
The BASE 5.0 offers advanced charging capabilities and flexible options to recharge the unit quickly. It supports three charging methods for added convenience:
AC Charging: approximately 2.3 hours from 0% to 100% state of charge from a standard wall outlet.
Solar Charging: approximately 2.4h from 0% to 100% (Anderson port for 18V-140V input (2100W max). Harness the power of the sun and recharge your power station using compatible solar panels (sold separately). The high-efficiency MPPT charge controller converts solar, wind (DC), or hydroelectric (DC) input, allowing you to go completely off-grid and enjoy the planet's free energy.
Onboard Charging: Trickle charge via the vehicle's 12V socket while travelling around or use Sherpa Charge-500 Smart Charger (sold separately) that can fully charge the BASE 5.0 in 11 hours while driving, making the BASE 5.0 a viable onboard power solution.

The BASE 5.0 features an intuitive LCD screen that provides real-time information about battery level, power input/output, and charging status. This clear and easy-to-read display ensures you have full visibility of the unit's performance, allowing you to manage your energy effectively. The BASE 5.0 is also APP compatible (via the OUEPES app on Appstore), connecting via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, so you can even monitor and control your power station remotely.
